Bengaluru: Karnataka on Monday announced a 14-day COVID curfew starting April 27 night across the state to contain the spread of deadly Coronavirus. All commercial activities including public transport were closed across the state with exceptions being made to construction and agricultural sector.
The government however has also allowed the home delivery of alcohol.
KSRTC, BMTC, Metro services, and other modes of public transport will also remain shut.
Inter-state travel however was also restricted by the government with a ban on people from other states to entering the state. However, the government said the emergency cases will be exempted for Inter/Intra-state travel.

New Delhi, May 7 (PTI): Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar on Wednesday met Union Road, Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari and discussed projects in the state.
Shivakumar discussed various development projects in Bengaluru and other parts of the state, an official statement said.
Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) Administrative Officer Tushar Girinath, Chief Commissioner Maheshwara Rao and other state officials were present in the meeting.
