Bengaluru: Bengaluru police arrested a 30-year-old man on Sunday night for allegedly mutilating the udders of two cows and injuring another in Vinayaknagar.
The accused, identified as Sheikh Nasru from Champaran district in Bihar, has been remanded to judicial custody until January 25. S. Girish, Deputy Commissioner of Police (West), stated that the accused was intoxicated when the incident occurred.
Nasru, who works as a helper in a plastic and cloth bag stitching shop located 50 metres from the scene, acted alone, according to the police.
The cows, owned by a local milk vendor, were treated and are reported to be out of danger. The owner discovered the injuries early Sunday morning when he noticed the cows bleeding as he prepared to milk them.
