Bengaluru, May 23: In his first press conference after becoming the Chief Minister, HD Kumaraswamy said that the JDS-Congress combine has tied the Ashwamedha horse of Narendra Modi and Amit Shah in Karnataka.

From now onwards, Shah has to give lifeless horse to Modi, he said and asked Modi not to consider them lightly.

“Senior Congress leader Parameshwar is in my team. He is a very adjustable person. We will discuss and take decisions on major programmes in the Coordination Committee. Modi has said that he would solve Mahadayi dispute within three months. But Modi is clever in telling lies as and when he needs. They know how to place lotus on public ears. People have voted BJP believing that Modi would solve Mahadayi dispute. If he has real concerns, he could have solved the problem long back”, he said.

“We will respect all. But the swamijis should stop giving political statements. The statement of Nelson Mandela that poverty is not an accidental and it could be eradicated is the motto of our government. The national leaders of various political parties have attended the swearing in ceremony not because of protecting this government , but to give a strong message to the people of the country that they have the strength to face the BJP. Local Congress leaders will protect this government”, he said.
