JD(S) files complaint with CEO against false tweets on Deve Gowda, Kumaraswamy
Bengaluru: The JD(S) has filed a complaint with Chief Electoral Officer Manoj Kumar Meena regarding tweets by an account holder against party senior leaders HD Deve Gowda and HD Kumaraswamy.
In a letter on Sunday, AP Ranganatha, president of the state legal cell of the JD(S), told the CEO that ‘blatantly false tweets’ were posted late in the day, to vilify the images of the said leaders of the party.
The legal cell head has also asked the officer to take immediate action in the matter.

Man kills father, step-mother over property dispute in Hubballi
Hubballi, Jan 10: A man killed his father and step-mother over a property dispute at Kusugal village in Dharwad district, police said on Friday.
The deceased have been identified as Ashokappa Kobbannavar and his wife Sharadamma.
According to a preliminary investigation, Gangadharappa was fighting with his father over a property owned by him.
Huballi Rural police said Gangadharappa killed them on Thursday and fled the scene.
The police have launched a manhunt for him.
