Davanagere: Jewelry shop owner killed
Davanagere, September 20: A jewelry shop owner was hacked to death near Shaktinagar railway track on the outskirts of the city on Thursday.
The deceased is identified as ‘Mallikarjuna Jewelry Shop’ owner Harish (40). His car is also found beside his body. Recently, he has been to Goa along with his friends and returned to Davangere on Wednesday.
It is suspected that he was killed in related to money transaction. Railway police visited the spot and registered a case.

Two labourers die as soil caves in at construction site in Ranchi
Ranchi (PTI): Two labourers died after soil caved in at an under-construction apartment complex in Ranchi, police said on Tuesday.
The incident happened near Ram Temple in the Gonda police station area on Monday, they said.
"Both victims were working at the construction site. The bodies were handed over to their family members," SP (City) Paras Rana said.
Both the deceased hailed from Thakurgaon in Burmu block, police said, adding that an investigation has been ordered.
