Kadur: After gunning down wife, man surrenders before police
Chikmagaluru, December 25: Suspecting the fidelity, a man gunned down his wife at Kanchugaranahalli in Kadur Taluk on Monday night.
The victim has been identified as Jayamma (55). Her husband Basavarajappa is the accused. After killing his wife, he surrendered before the police at Sakharayapatna police station.
Alleging that Jayamma has illicit affair, Basavarajappa was living separately for the last 30 years. But on Monday, Basavarajappa came to her house and raised the same issue. When the quarrel reached peak level, he fired three rounds on her. Jayamma who sustained severe injuries died on the spot.
After the incident, Basavarajappa went to the police station and surrendered before the police. Sakharayapatna police who registered a case have been investigating the case.
