Sedam: A disturbing incident at Shri Cement Company in Kodla village, Sedam taluk, Kalaburagi district, has sparked widespread outrage after a video surfaced showing factory staff dragging the body of a deceased worker on the road in a humiliating manner.

The deceased has been identified as 34-year-old Chandansingh, a native of Bihar, who was employed at the factory. According to preliminary reports, he had gone to the restroom when he is suspected to have suffered a heart attack due to low blood pressure, resulting in his sudden death.

However, instead of handling the body with dignity, factory staff were allegedly seen dragging it on the road, an act that has drawn severe criticism. The video of the incident, which has now gone viral on social media, has fueled public anger, with many demanding strict action against the factory’s management for the inhumane treatment.

Local residents and workers have expressed outrage over the incident, questioning the company’s treatment of its employees and the lack of basic dignity even after death.

Meanwhile, the Sedam police have registered an Unnatural Death Report (UDR) case and launched an investigation.
