Kalaburagi: A 22-year-old youngster, Chandappa Doddamani, experienced an electric shock and was electrocuted to death when he was urinating near an electric transformer installed beside a road in Wadi town.

The youngster, who was a resident of Siddartha Nagar in Wadi, was reportedly relieving himself beside the transformer on the main road at Kambaveera Layout in the town when he got an electric shock and died on the spot.

Sub-inspector Thirumalesh K of the Wadi Police Station visited the spot and held an inquest, police sources have said. A case has been registered and investigation is on.

The Guinness World Records (GWR) shared a video recently of the jaw-dropping moment on its social media platforms, captioning the clip, “Most electric fan blades stopped using the tongue in one minute 57 by Kranthi Drillman.” The clip shows Panikera deftly using his tongue to halt the spinning blades of the fans with astonishing speed.


Since being posted, the video has garnered over 17.9 million views on X (formerly known as Twitter) and sparked a wide range of reactions online, reflecting the mix of admiration and disbelief from viewers.
