Kalaburagi: Kanhaiya Kumar's lecture allowed despite opposition from Sri Ram Sena, ABVP
Kalaburagi: The Syndicate of Gulbarga University has given permission to organise a lecture of former JNU student union leader Kanhaiya Kumar at a function to be held at Dr BR Ambedkar Institute of Studies in Gulbarga University tomorrow (October 15).
A local influential MP and other organizations, including Sri Ram Sena, ABVP, had pressurized the university Syndicate not to allow Kanhaiya Kumar to speak at the university. They had also urged to withdraw the invitation of Kanhaiya.

Undertrial dies by suicide in Mangaluru
Mangaluru, May 6: A 26-year-old undertrial prisoner allegedly died by suicide while in judicial custody on Monday, police said.
Muhammad Noufal, hailing from Kerela, died by hanging.
According to police, he was hospitalised multiple times after displaying signs of mental depression.

He was undergoing treatment at the jail ward of Wenlock hospital here, they said.
Though he was lodged in the ward with other inmates, he managed to hang himself from the ceiling.
A case has been registered and investigation is on, they added.
