Sagara: Film and television actor Anu Gowda was found grievously injured following an alleged brutal attack on her at Kaspady under Ullur Gram Panchayat jurisdiction in Sagara taluk.
Anu Gowda is learned to be undergoing treatment at the Government Hospital, Sagara. The attack is suspected to have been an outcome of a fight over property.
The actor’s parents resided in Kaspady and were in-charge of a plot of agricultural land, with Anu, who lived in Bengaluru, visiting them regularly. Locals Neelamma and Mohan are suspected to have attacked Anu over property matters.
A case has been filed at the Sagara Rural Police Station based on a complaint, and investigation is on.

Mumbai (PTI): The Maharashtra government on Friday withdrew its order to disburse Rs 10 crore for strengthening the Maharashtra state Waqf Board, state chief secretary Sujata Saunik said.
The development comes a day after a government resolution (GR) was issued, in which the state administration ordered disbursal of Rs 10 crore funds for strengthening the state Waqf Board.
When asked whether the GR was withdrawn, Saunik confirmed the development.
As per the November 28 GR, Rs 20 crore were earmarked for 2024-25 for strengthening of the Maharashtra State Board of Waqfs (MSBW). Of that, Rs 2 crore were disbursed to the MSBW headquartered in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar.
