Karnataka BJP president election soon: Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan
Bengaluru: Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan on Saturday said the Karnataka state BJP president election would soon be held.
Chauhan, who is also the BJP's internal election in-charge for Karnataka, said that the process to elect the new president has started.
"Soon the election for the state president will start. We hold booth level leaders' elections as well. Sometimes the people are elected unanimously," Chauhan said.
Currently, the Shikaripura MLA B Y Vijayendra is holding the state president post. He is son of BJP strongman and former Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa.
A section of BJP MLAs and leaders, including Vijayapura MLA Basanagouda Patil Yatnal and Gokak MLA Ramesh Jarkiholi, are opposing Vijayendra.

Karnataka Examinations Authority publishes syllabus for CET 2025
Bengaluru: The Karnataka Examinations Authority has released the syllabus for the Common Entrance Test (CET) to be conducted in 2025 for admission to professional courses including engineering, on its website https://cetonline.karnataka.gov.in/kea/.
Executive Director of KEA, H. Prasanna on Saturday issued a notification, advising students to use the syllabus for Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Biology from both First and Second PUC as outlined on the portal.
"This syllabus has been prepared based on the NCRTC syllabus and the textbooks published by the School Education, PUE Department," the announcement read. Furthermore, H. Prasanna explained that it has also been reviewed by subject experts from PU colleges.
