Bengaluru: The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has announced the schedule for the Common Entrance Test (CET) 2025, which will be conducted on April 16 and 17 for admissions into engineering, veterinary, and other professional courses.

Higher Education Minister Dr. M.C. Sudhakar shared the details on Thursday, highlighting the improved application process and enhanced security measures.

The Physics and Chemistry exams are scheduled for April 16, while Mathematics and Biology will take place on April 17. A Kannada language test for Horanadu and Gadinadu Kannadiga candidates will be held on April 18. CET scores will also be applicable for admissions to Yoga and Naturopathy, B-Pharma, Pharm-D, Agricultural Science, and BSc (Nursing) programs.

Dates and Application Process

Application Submission: January 23 to February 21.

Verification Process: Authentication via OTP linked to the candidate’s mobile number is mandatory. Only one mobile number can be used per candidate.

Reservation and Educational Details: Automatically fetched from caste certificates, 371(J) numbers, and SAT system entries.

Claims Verification: Successfully verified candidates will not need in-person document verification. A verification slip can be downloaded post-results.

Candidates under special reservation categories will have dedicated dates for certificate submission after the exams. Notably, students will no longer need to upload documents online, simplifying the process.

Other Entrance Exam Dates

Diploma CET (DCET): Application from April 24 to May 10, exam on May 31.

Postgraduate CET (PGCET) for ME, MTech, and M.Arch: Application from April 24 to May 10, exam on May 31.

MBA, MCA, M.Pharma, and Pharma-D: Application from April 24 to June 10, exam on June 22.

Thane (PTI): Authorities have seized illegally stored 1,839 gas cylinders and seven vehicles worth over Rs 67 lakh in the Dombivli MIDC area of Thane district, officials said on Saturday.

A special vigilance team of the Mumbai Rationing Department detected an illegal storage of domestic and commercial LPG cylinders in Phase-2 of Dombivli (East).

Cylinders belonging to multiple gas agencies were found stockpiled in closed vehicles, unauthorised warehouses, and open sheds without mandatory permissions from the Explosives Department, Fire Department, or oil companies, according to an official release.
