Karnataka: Dejected lover stabs young woman to death
Tumkuru: A dejected lover stabbed a young woman to death with a knife for allegedly not accepting his love. The incident was reported from Sira Taluk here.
The victim woman was identified as Kavya a resident of Ratnasandra in Sira Taluk here. The accused man has been identified as Iranna.
Police have reportedly arrested the accused.
According to the reports, Iranna fell in love with Kavya who hailed from the same village as him. He is said to have expressed his love to Kavya several times but she is said to have rejected.
On Monday, when the woman was on her way to the college, Iranna intercepted her on her way and when she objected, he stabbed her to death.
A case has been registered at local police station and investigations are underway.
