Bengaluru: Karnataka's Deputy Chief Minister, DK Shivakumar, felicitated two SSLC students for their outstanding academic achievements in the recently announced SSLC results. Ankitha, hailing from Bagalkote, achieved a perfect score of 625/625 marks in her class 10 exams. Ankita Basappa was a student of Morarji Desai Residential School in Mellageri, Mudhol taluk. In recognition of her remarkable performance, she was awarded a cash prize of Rs 5 lakhs.
Additionally, DK Shivakumar extended his appreciation to Navneet, a resident of Kannali village, Mandya, who secured the third position,for his outstanding academic performance. Navneet received a cash award of Rs 2 lakhs.
Dk Shivakumar later in a tweet said that “Both these children have shown that government school children are second to none. I wish you all the best to study in the same way and bring glory to your school, teachers and parents.”’

Istanbul (AP): A gunfight erupted outside a building housing the Israeli Consulate in Istanbul on Tuesday, leaving two assailants dead and a police officer wounded, Turkiye's Haberturk broadcaster reported.
The report said attackers were carrying long-barreled weapons. An exchange of fire with police killed two, while a third assailant was captured. One officer sustained injuries during the clash.
The area surrounding the building was quickly sealed off.
