Bengaluru: Karnataka High Court on Wednesday issued notice to the prosecution and directed the state to file objections within one week after lawyer of Kannada actor Sadhu Kokila told court that the actor had denied the allegations of sexual harassment labelled against him.

The actor's lawyer told court that the police had filed FIR in the case despite the actor's refusal of visiting the beauty parlour and sexually harassing the woman.

A woman, who was rescued from a beauty parlour, had alleged that Sadhu Kokila and another actor, Mandya Ramesh, had visited the parlour and forced her for favors.

The woman had complained to the police that the owner of the parlour and three other men had sexually harassed her. 

The HC on Wednesday issued notices to the authorities and directed the State to file objections within one week.
