Bengaluru: In an incident reported from Bengaluru, a 60-year-old man who had climbed a coconut tree died on the tree after suffering a heart attack there.
The deceased man has been identified as Narayanappa.
The incident took place when Narayanappa climbed the coconut tree on Monday morning around 7:30 at Vijayashree Layout in Malsandra here in the city. He was sitting on the tree plucking coconut when he suffered a heart attack and died on the tree.
Locals informed the cops and fire brigade after there was no activity on the tree and Narayanappa did not respond after being repeatedly called out from the ground. He was later found to be dead on the tree.
