Bengaluru: Senior lady officer of Karnataka Police Shobha Khatavkar was on Friday evening found dead in her flat in suspicious conditions here in the city. She was 53.

According to the reports, Shobha was found dead at her residence in Puttenahalli, around 8 pm on Friday evening. It further added that Shobha was alone at her residence and when she did not receive multiple phone calls from her family members, they asked the security officials to check the flat. She was then found dead in her flat.

It is suspected that she suffered a cardiac arrest and passed away. Local police have registered a case of unnatural death and are investigating the case.

Shobha was recently promoted as the Superintendent of Police. She was earlier posted as the Vice Principal of Police Training College (PTC) in Kalaburagi.
