Kolar: In a horrible road accident involving a KSRTC bus, Tata Ace van, and a bike, three people including a father and his daughter died on the spot while four others have sustained critical injuries here Chintamani road in the Taluk.

The deceased people including a father and his six-year-old daughter who were traveling on a bike when the accident took place.

The deceased have been identified as Raju (46) a resident of Kolar and his daughter Bindu (6).

Four others including the KSRTC bus driver have sustained critical injuries and have been rushed to SNR District Hospital.

Local Police reached the spot and are investigating the case.

Mumbai, Dec 27: Aviation safety regulator DGCA on Friday ordered the suspension of director of operations and director of training at Akasa Air for six months for alleged lapses in pilots' training.

The two senior executives of the airline, in which the Rakesh Jhunjhunwala family holds stakes, have "failed" to ensure "compliances" with the civil aviation requirements, Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) said in its order of December 27.

Response to the query sent to Akasa on the issue was awaited.
