Kolar: Popular video making app TikTok on Saturday claimed another life, this time in Kolar of Karnataka where a university student died on the spot after falling into a farm pit while shooting a video on the app.

The deceased has been identified as Mala, a resident of Madageri village in Kolar District here.

A student of BA, Mala was shooting a video meant to be uploading on the app near a far pit when she accidentally fell into the pit and died on the spot. Mala reportedly died of suffocation after failing to come out of the pit despite attempting to do so.

A case gas been registered at Kolar Rural Police Station in this regard.

Thiruvananthapuram (PTI): Senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi will kick off his election campaign for the upcoming Assembly polls in Kerala on March 25 with a major rally in Kozhikode.

The rally is scheduled to be held at Kozhikode beach in the evening, marking the beginning of his campaign tour in the state ahead of the April 9 elections, senior Congress leader Ramesh Chennithala said on Saturday.

Chennithala, who heads the election campaign committee, said Gandhi is expected to elaborate on key promises of the United Democratic Front (UDF), including the proposed "guarantee card".

Leaders from the national and state levels of the party are also expected to attend the event, he said in a statement.
