Chamarajnagar: A state transport bus fell into a gorge near Talabetta as the driver lost control over the bus while returning from Mahadeshwara Hills in Hanur taluk, but there is no fatality.

The passengers in the KSRTC bus had visited Mahadeshwara Hills to participate in the Deepavali festivities. On the way back on Wednesday, the bus driver lost control over the vehicle near Talabetta and the bus toppled into the gorge by the road. The bus fell on the stream below, it has been reported.

It is also learned that 22 passengers in the bus were injured but out of danger. People with minor injuries were admitted to the government subdivision hospital, Kollegal.

Two of the passengers, however, are serious and have been admitted to a hospital in Mysuru for further treatment, said sources.
