Bengaluru: Union Minister H D Kumaraswamy on Wednesday accused the Congress leadership of supporting Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah due to the legal troubles of its top leaders, Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi, who are out on bail in the National Herald case.

Addressing reporters, Kumaraswamy criticized the Congress for remaining silent in the face of a major scam, suggesting that the party's high command had deliberately refrained from commenting.

He further questioned Rahul Gandhi's commitment to fighting corruption, pointing out that despite his previous statements; Rahul had not spoken up even after the court approved prosecution in the case. "The entire nation is watching the Congress's actions closely," Kumaraswamy remarked.
