Bengaluru: A dance master of a private school and his two friends were arrested by the Kodigehalli police on Sunday on the charges of raping his ex-girlfriend multiple times during the course of the year after blackmailing her using her intimate videos and photos, reported the Times of India.
The arrested have been identified as Andi George, Santosh and Shashi who are said to be aged between 28-29 and were residents of Vidyaranyapura and surrounding areas.
As per the report, the woman was unemployed and was residing with her parents in Northeast Bengaluru. The woman and George met over social media three years ago. Following which they fell in love, and George took the woman to his house, they went on outstation trips. During which George recorded their intimate videos on his smartphone. Both of them were in a relationship till June 2021.
The women ended the relationship with George after learning about his wicked behavior. But, George blackmailed the woman telling her that he will upload the photos and videos on social media, and raped her on several occasions at different locations.
George shared the woman's personal information with two of his friends and coerced her into engaging in sexual activities with them. He also secretly recorded the intimate moments between Santosh, Shashi, and the woman. The woman was forced to participate, and George collected money, ranging from Rs 3,000 to Rs 5,000, from his friends for these encounters.
After the woman decided to stop meeting them, George resorted to further harassment by creating an Instagram account to share her photos and videos with others. Distressed by the situation, the woman filed a complaint, leading to the seizure of incriminating evidence such as photos, videos, a pen drive, laptop, and mobile phones from the accused by the police.

Budapest/Washington: US Vice President J D Vance has said that Lebanon was never included in the ceasefire understanding with Iran, describing the confusion as a “legitimate misunderstanding”.
Speaking to reporters before departing from Hungary, Vance said, “I think the Iranians thought that the ceasefire included Lebanon and it just didn’t. We never made that promise.”
He stressed that the United States had not included Lebanon in the scope of the ceasefire at any stage.
His remarks come amid continued Israeli strikes in Lebanon, where more than 200 people were reported killed, even as ceasefire talks between Iran and the US move forward.
Vance said Israel had “offered … to check themselves a little bit in Lebanon because they want to make sure that our negotiation is successful”.
He warned that if Iran allows the situation in Lebanon to affect the negotiations, it could derail the talks.
“If Iran wants to let this negotiation fall apart in a conflict where they were getting hammered over Lebanon, which has nothing to do with them and which the United States never once said was part of the ceasefire, that’s ultimately their choice,” he said.
