Madhukar Shetty death need to be probed: Minister DK Shivakumar
Bengaluru, Dec 29: Water Resources Minister DK Shivakumar said that the death of senior IPS officer Madhukar Shetty should be investigated.
Condoling the death of Madhukar Shetty, the Minister said that he was a big asset to the police department. Investigation should be conducted into the death of the officer. Let the God give courage to his family members to bear the loss, he said.
Preparation is complete in Yelahanka for darshan
The mortal remains of Madhukar Shetty were brought to Bengaluru from Hyderabad and his body would be placed for public view along the premises of Police Training Institute at Yelahanka.
At 8 pm, the body would reach Mangaluru. From there, it would be taken to his native place Yadadi in Kundapura taluk. The cremation would be held at Yadadi on Sunday morning.

Tehran/Doha: Iran’s President Massoud Pezeshkian has warned that attacks on the country’s energy infrastructure could lead to “uncontrollable consequences” affecting the entire world.
In a post on X, Pezeshkian said he “strongly condemns” the strikes that targeted the South Pars gasfield earlier in the day.
“Such aggressive actions will not achieve anything for the American Zionist enemy and their supporters. Rather, they will complicate the situation and could lead to uncontrollable consequences that will affect the entire world,” he said.
Meanwhile, Qatar’s Ministry of Interior has urged residents to remain indoors due to what it described as an elevated security threat.
Authorities have not provided further details, but the advisory comes amid growing concerns over the safety of energy infrastructure and civilian areas in the region.
