Bagalkot: Principal seer of Basava Dharma, Mahadeshwar Swamy on Wednesday suggested that former Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah and Karnataka CM Yediyurappa should come together and form a political party.

Speaking to reporters on Wednesday Mahdeshwar Swamy added that the national political parties cannot work for the development of the state and that these two leaders should come together and form a regional party in the best of interest of Karnataka.

The swamy also gave the example of neighboring state of Tamil Nadu adding that the regional parties have successfully transformed and developed the state without the support of national parties.

He also offered support to the two leaders if they come together and discuss the matter to give a thought about the idea of uniting in the interest of the state.

Murudeshwar: Two youngsters lost their lives after they drowned in the sea in Murudeshwar.

The incident occurred around 5 PM on Sunday, claiming the lives of Maulvi Ismail Barmawar (22) and another youth whose identity remains unascertained, as informed by the police.

According to reports, the youngsters were swimming in the sea when they encountered rough waves, which led to their death.

The Murudeshwar police have initiated an investigation into the matter following a formal complaint lodged at the police station.
