Belagavi: Amid reports of the POSHAN app being hacked, Minister for Women and Child Development, Laxmi Hebbalkar, has cautioned women and pregnant mothers to stay vigilant and avoid falling prey to cyber fraudsters.

Addressing the press on Saturday, she stated that incidents of cybercriminals accessing information from the app and deceiving women through mobile communication have come to light. “Everyone should be cautious,” she urged.

The POSHAN app is managed by the central government. As soon as the issue of fraud was brought to our notice, we alerted the central authorities. Additionally, we have instructed our 70,000 Anganwadi workers and helpers to raise awareness among the public, she said.

Measures were taken immediately to spread awareness once the fraudulent activity was detected. Hebbalkar appealed to the public to ensure no one falls victim to such scams.
