Bengaluru: In the latest development in IMA Jewel fraud case, which cheated hundreds of its investors of crores of Rupees, the connection of Karnataka Food and Civil Supplies Minister, Zameer Ahmed Khan has come to the fore evidently showing his financial transactions with the company.

The transaction came to the fore after accessing the affidavit submitted by Zameer Ahmed Khan to the election commission during Karnataka Assembly Election last year.

In his affidavit Zameer Ahmed has provided details of his financial transactions including loans from banks and other sources. He has mentioned a transaction with I Monetary Advisory (IMA) of Rs five crore being received in advance towards a sale agreement of property no 38 and 39 at Serpentine Street Richmond Town in Bengaluru in December 2017.

Zameer Ahmed Khan on Tuesday also met Karnataka CM and Home Minister on behalf of the investors who had invested their money in the multi-crore scam of the company and had demanded an SIT probe into the matter. Zameer had also called upon IMA owner Mansoor Khan to reveal the names of those who have taken his money including him.

The revelation of Zameer’s financial transactions with the company has now triggered controversy and has led to debate in political circles.

Bengaluru: Bengaluru police arrested a 30-year-old man on Sunday night for allegedly mutilating the udders of two cows and injuring another in Vinayaknagar.

The accused, identified as Sheikh Nasru from Champaran district in Bihar, has been remanded to judicial custody until January 25. S. Girish, Deputy Commissioner of Police (West), stated that the accused was intoxicated when the incident occurred.

Nasru, who works as a helper in a plastic and cloth bag stitching shop located 50 metres from the scene, acted alone, according to the police.

The cows, owned by a local milk vendor, were treated and are reported to be out of danger. The owner discovered the injuries early Sunday morning when he noticed the cows bleeding as he prepared to milk them.
