Minor Girl Raped In Hubballi Railway Station, One Arrested
Hubballi, Dec 01: Railway police have arrested a youth for allegedly sexually harassing a minor girl on platform number four at Hubballi Railway station on November 29.
The arrested has been identified as Mahboob, a tea seller.
According to sources in the railways, an a 14-year-old orphan girl was dropped at Hubballi Railway Station by her aunt. A tea-seller in the station lured the girl on the pretext of offering food and allegedly sexually assaulted her.
Sunita Muragod of Railway Child Care Center and volunteer of BDSSS (Belagavi Diocesan Social Service Society), who was on duty at the railway station, met the girl and took her to a counseling center in the city. During counseling, the girl explained her dark time.
The girl has been admitted at KIMS Hospital for the treatment, and the Railway Police have registered a case under POCSO Act.

Nine killed, 25 injured as state transport bus overturns in Maharashtra's Gondia district
Gondia (PTI): At least nine passengers were killed and 25 others injured when a Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) bus overturned in Gondia district on Friday afternoon, police said.
Citing preliminary information, a senior police official said the MSRTC bus 'Shiv Shahi' was carrying 36 passengers and heading to Gondia district from Bhandara when it flipped over at Davva village under Sadakarjuni taluka while trying to overtake another vehicle.
Nine passengers were killed and 25 others injured in the accident which took place at around 12.30 pm, he said.
The injured passengers were shifted to hospital, the official added.
