Ballary: A video of a miscreant toppling monumental pillars of an ancient temple, reportedly of Hampi, has gone viral on social media. Following which, the locals demanded the protection of this heritage site.

Shops to remain open till midnight during Ramadan in Mangaluru
Mangaluru: In a major relief for last-minute shoppers ahead of Ramadan, Mangaluru City Police Commissioner Sudheer Kumar Reddy on Thursday announced that shops have been granted permission to operate till 12 midnight.
He made the announcement while speaking to the media in the city.
“Many people had requested to keep shops open till midnight on Thursday. Accordingly, shops in the Mangaluru Police Commissionerate have been allowed to remain open till 12 midnight today (Thursday),” he said.
