Mandya: It was a challenge for the government to make arrangements for the public and fans to pay last respects to senior actor and former minister Ambareesh in Mandya district. Despite many problems, it was handled smoothly, informed HD Kumaraswamy.
Addressing media persons at Sir M Visvesvaraya stadium today, Chief Minister Kumaraswamy said Ambareesh's clean mind has been working in his last days as well. "I am grateful to everyone for their co-operation," he said.
As the preparations have been made to cremate Ambareesh at Kanteerava studio in Bengaluru, his fans wanted to bring his body to Mandya. As per their wish, the government made proper arrangements for public viewing.
Mandya district in-charge minister CS Putadaraju, tourism Minister SR Mahesh and other dignitaries were present.

Mangaluru: A revolver accidentally discharged during an inspection, injuring a man in Vamanjoor on the outskirts of the city.
The injured person has been identified as Safwan. The incident occurred on Monday evening.
According to reports, the revolver, which belonged to a customer visiting a shop, was being inspected by Safwan when it accidentally fired. The bullet struck him in the abdomen, causing injuries. Safwan himself was reportedly a customer at the shop.
Police sources have termed the incident as accidental.
