Chikmagaluru: M.P Kumaraswamy, who had previously resigned from the primary membership of the BJP after being denied a ticket from the Mudigere constituency, on Friday tendered his resignation from the post of MLA.

He met speaker Vishweshwar Hegde Kageri at Sirsi in Uttara Kannada district and submitted his resignation Letter.

Speaking to the media later, Kumaraswamy said, "I was shooed away from the party like a stray dog is shooed away. C.T. Ravi and Pranesh are responsible for all this. They themselves sent people, quarreled with each other and made a bad impression on me. They will not save the party," he cried.

“I will definitely contest elections.”

Kumaraswamy further said, “I'm not old yet, I will contest elections, and will contest from a party itself, I will take a decision on it by tomorrow evening.”
