Mysuru: Group of four attacks three women, one man with lethal weapons on Ramanuja Road
Mysuru: An incident was reported from Ramanuja Road near Agrahara on Thursday night, where a group of four people in a car stopped three women and a man who were traveling in an auto rickshaw and attacked them with lethal weapons.
The assault victims Rajan (38), his wife Kumuda, Vishalakshi and Renukamma, who were found to grievously injured, are being treated at the KR Hospital in Mysuru. The health condition of one of them is learned to be critical.
They were reportedly returning from Vidyaranyapurma Police Station on Thursday night after speaking to the police regarding a POCSO Act case that had allegedly been filed against Rajan a year ago. The four people, identified as Rama, Soumya, Abbayya and Prasad, followed them in a car and, intercepting the auto rickshaw on Ramanuja Road, attacked them with lethal weapons.
A CCTV camera nearby has captured the scene, showing the attackers, armed with the weapons, verbally and physically assaulting the four people in the auto rickshaw.

MP: 17-year-old boy tied to tree, beaten to death over alleged relationship with minor girl
Ratlam: In a horrific incident, the family members of a girl allegedly tied a 17-year-old boy to a tree, shaved his head, and then beat him to death after catching him meeting the girl at a temple premises near her house in the Namli area of Ratlam district of western Madhya Pradesh.
The incident occurred in Mesava village, where a boy from a different caste, in a relationship with a minor girl, was called to meet her and was caught by her parents around 11 p.m. on Friday, as reported by The New Indian Express.
The victim's brother stated that he came to know about the incident on Saturday morning. “We are from the neighbouring village. When I arrived, I found my brother lying dead near a house close to the temple. Locals told me he was first tied to a tree, his head was forcibly tonsured, and then he was beaten to death. His head bore deep wounds.” TNIE quoted him as saying.
The boy and girl were former classmates, and their close friendship had allegedly developed into a romantic relationship.
Four individuals have been taken into custody, and further investigation is currently underway.
