Nelamangala: 8 KM traffic jam as logs fall off truck
Bengaluru: A huge traffic jam on Bengaluru-Tumkuru NH-4 as timber logs fell off a truck and scattered on the road near Makali in Nelamangala today morning.
Vehicles have been lined up for around eight kilometers.
The incident took place around 4 am today. The wooden logs that were transported in a lorry were accidentally fallen on the road, causing the traffic jam. Hundreds of traffic drivers are suffering as the service roads here are also in a narrow state.
The concerned authorities have visited the spot and launched the road clearance operation.

Speaker asks govt to educate MPs on crop insurance scheme
New Delhi (PTI): Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla on Tuesday asked the government to form groups of MPs to guide them on the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojna to enhance their understanding of the key scheme.
When Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan was responding to supplementaries during the Question Hour, Birla proposed creation of such groups.
The minister agreed with the idea.
The scheme provides farmers with affordable insurance coverage against crop losses due to natural disasters.
