Bengaluru: The Minister for Primary and Higher Education B.C. Nagesh said, “The students writing the 2nd PUC examinations will not be allowed to wear any religious attire including the Hijab”, he informed. 

The 2nd PUC Examination for the academic year 2021-2022 will take place from April 22 to May 18, and in the background of this, the Minister addressed the media at a press conference held at Vidhana Soudha and said, “The PUC Examinations will be conducted following the model of SSLC Examination”, he said. 

“In places where uniform is prescribed, the students must mandatorily wear the uniform, and where uniform is not mandated, no student will be allowed to don any religious attire. The teachers coming to the examination centre do not have any uniforms mandated”, he informed. 

“The examination will be conducted from April 22 to May 18 in a simple manner similar to how the SSLC examination was conducted. A total of 6, 84, 255 students have registered for the exams. There are 3, 46, 936 young boys and 3, 37, 319 young girls among them”, he informed. 

The exam will be conducted from 10.15 am to 1.30 pm, he informed.

Mangaluru: Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) in association with Family Business Network India is set to organise a session on “Managing Family Conflict: Navigating Differences and Disagreements” on April 11, 2026.

The event will be held at Taj Vivanta in the city from 10 am to 5 pm.
