Kalaburagi: BJP State President Nalin Kumar Kateel has said that the entire world is praising India’s work in handling the Corona pandemic, but Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is using it to play petty politics.
The Central government has managed the difficult situation very effectively, Nalin Kumar Kateel said while media in Sedam on Wednesday.
The State President of the ruling party further said, “There has been no instance of anyone – including any migrant worker – dying of hunger in the country. Instead, the government itself has provided both bus and railway facilities to the migrant workers to return home. It has also given them food and other essential items”.
He added, “The Coronavirus sees no religion or caste. It is, therefore, important for everyone to take precautions. Prime Minister Narendra Modi gave the call for lockdown and all state governments should follow the guidelines appropriately”.
Speaking of the Rajya Sabha elections, he said that the BJP has set a model for other political parties to follow with its work. “The BJP has given equal opportunity to the workers of the party to contest the Rajya Sabha election. The surprising decision will be seen even in the selection of candidates for the Legislative Council,” said Kateel.
“The social and geographical factors are considered while selecting an eligible candidate of the party for the Council elections, but we cannot say as yet if the leaders or the other members of the party will be given the ticket,” he added.
