Not eight, eleven MLAs submitted resignation: Karnataka Speaker Ramesh Kumar confirms
Bengaluru: Karnataka Assembly speaker Ramesh Kumar on Saturday confirmed reports of his office receiving resignation letters.
According to report eight MLAs from Congress and JD(s) had resigned from assembly. However the speaker said that his office had received resignation letters of eleven MLAs from the two parties.
Speaking to reporters Kumar said that he will look into the matter on Tuesday as he is pre-occupied with schedule for Sunday and Monday.
He further added that none of the MLA contact or communicated with him regarding the resignation, and that the resignation were handed over to his secretary Roopesh.

Israeli defence minister says attacks against Iran will 'increase significantly' next week
Dubai (AP): Israeli Defence Minister Israel Katz said that attacks against Iran will “increase significantly” in the coming week.
Katz spoke on Saturday, hours after US President Donald Trump said he was considering “winding down” military operations in the Mideast.
“This week, the intensity of the attacks that the IDF and the US military will carry out against the Iranian terrorist regime and against the infrastructures on which it relies will increase significantly,” Katz said in a video statement.
