Bengaluru: Concerning the appearance of PAYCM posters being plastered across Bengaluru accusing the state BJP government of receiving 40% commissions for every task, police detained several Congress activists in the city.
During the early hours on Thursday, the former president of the KPCC Social Media Department, B.R Naidu was detained and taken to the High Grounds Police station to be subjected to questioning regarding the distribution of the PAYCM posters, it is learned.
B.R Naidu, who spoke to ‘VarthaBharati’ in this regard clarified, “I am not a part of this case in any manner. But, I am being intentionally detained”, he accused.
Similarly, the KPCC Social Media Department’s Gagan Yadav was also taken from his residence at Devasandra by the Sadashiva Nagar station police.
Furthermore, the PAYCM poster case has reportedly been handed over to the CCB.
In accordance with the order issued by the City Police Commissioner, FIRs have been filed in four police stations as the posters were plastered in several places belonging to various police station jurisdictions.

New Delhi (PTI): President Droupadi Murmu has nominated Rajya Sabha's outgoing deputy chairman Harivansh as a member of the Council of States.
The tenure of Harivansh as a member of the Upper Houses ended on April 9.
He has been nominated as a member of the Rajya Sabha after the vacancy was created following the retirement of former chief justice of India Ranjan Gogoi.
"In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-clause (a) of clause (1) of article 80 of the Constitution of India, read with clause (3) of that article, the President is pleased to nominate Shri Harivansh to the Council of States to fill the vacancy caused due to retirement of one of the nominated member," an official notification of the government said.
Harivansh, 69, has completed his two terms as a member of the Rajya Sabha representing Bihar. He has also served as deputy chairman of the Upper House.
