Chikmagalur, August 10: People experienced the light tremors for some time in some places at Kogre village in Koppa taluk on Friday. At 10 am, some of the places were shakes with a loud sound in the village. Villagers said the because of the intensity of the earthquake, utensils in the houses were fell down and they were shocked. They said they have experienced the same situation on Thursday and around two months back. Because of this repeated tremors, people got panic, they said.

Villager K Venkatesh submitted a memorandum to the deputy commissioner about the incident being occurred repeatedly and urged the district administration to find out the cause for the tremors through Disaster Management cell, he said.

For the last four months, something peculiar incident is being held beneath the earth at Attikudige, Bhairedevaru and Bettadakolalu village limits in Megunda grama Panchayat limits and people have been observing it. Some time they hear loud sound and experience the tremors, he said in the memorandum.

Event Structure

- First Round: Online Submission
Participants will submit ideas based on the provided themes and problem statements. Over 1,000 students from colleges across India are expected to participate in this round.

- Second Round: 24-Hour On-Campus Hackathon
Shortlisted teams will compete in an intense 24-hour hackathon at the AITM campus in Bhatkal. Approximately 25-30 teams, comprising the top 100 students, will be selected to participate in this final stage.
