Belagavi: A road block was staged on Tuesday by the residents of MK Hubballi town of Kittur taluk, under demand for supply of domestic LPG cylinders.
The locals alleged that a gas supply agency was sending the cylinders supplied to their town to other places, depriving them of fuel for the last one month.
In protest, the residents placed cylinders in the middle of the road outside the office of the agency, which has also been accused of graft. The protesters added that the agency staff members kept telling them to 'come tomorrow' to collect the cylinder, but did not give them the cylinder.
Kittur Police officers reportedly intervened and brought the situation under control.
