Bengaluru: The Bannerghatta Police late on Friday night reportedly arrested cow vigilante and murder accused Puneeth Kerehalli in connection with allegations of harassment and intimidation of migrant workers in parts of Bengaluru.

According to reports, the arrest took place under the guidance of Bengaluru Rural SP under the Bannerghatta Police Station limits.

Sources said additional police personnel were deployed as a precautionary measure to prevent any untoward incident following the arrest.

It has been also reported that after news of Kerehalli’s arrest spread, some of his supporters allegedly attempted to gather near the police station. However, police prevented them from entering the premises. Further investigation is underway in the case.
