Nelamangala: Bagalgunte police arrested Puneeth Kerehalli after he allegedly evaded questioning despite being served multiple notices in connection with several cases, including those related to illegal cow smuggling.
According to police, Kerehalli had gone to Kempapura, under the jurisdiction of the Soladevanahalli police station, where he filed a complaint alleging that illegal Bangladeshi immigrants were residing in the area. It is learnt that Bagalgunte police arrested him while he was leaving the Soladevanahalli police station after lodging the complaint.
Earlier, a case had also been registered against him at the Bannerghatta police station for allegedly visiting sheds where migrant workers were staying and creating a ruckus by demanding documents to prove that they were not Bangladeshi nationals. He was arrested in that case and later released.
