Kasargod: A tragic incident occurred in Kumbla, Kasargod, where a two-year-old boy lost his life after a pista shell got stuck in his throat on Saturday evening.

The child, identified as Anas, was the son of Anwar and Mehroofa from Bhaskar Nagar, Kumbla. While eating pistas, a shell became lodged in his throat. The family managed to remove a part of it and rushed him to the hospital.

Upon examination, doctors found no obstruction in the throat and discharged him. However, on Sunday morning, Anas experienced breathing difficulties and was taken back to the hospital, where efforts to save him were unsuccessful.

It is reported that the deceased child's father Anwar, who had returned home for a brief visit, had recently gone back to the Gulf a week ago. Following the tragic news, he has returned to his hometown.
