Rambhapuri Mutt pontiff’s car collides head-on with bike on NH 25 in Vijayanagara; no casualties
Vijayanagara: The car of the Rambhapuri Mutt pontiff collided head-on with a motorbike on the National Highway 25 between Shivamogga and Hospet on Sunday. The pontiff is learned to have been traveling from the Mutt to to attend a program in Alamatti when the accident occurred.
The vehicles collided at a turn in the road near Chitastahalli of Harapanahalli taluk. There are no casualties due to the accident and the pontiff is learned to be out of danger. The bike rider sustained minor injuries and is being treated at a local hospital.
A case was filed at the Harapanahalli Police Station and investigation is on.

Man kills father, step-mother over property dispute in Hubballi
Hubballi, Jan 10: A man killed his father and step-mother over a property dispute at Kusugal village in Dharwad district, police said on Friday.
The deceased have been identified as Ashokappa Kobbannavar and his wife Sharadamma.
According to a preliminary investigation, Gangadharappa was fighting with his father over a property owned by him.
Huballi Rural police said Gangadharappa killed them on Thursday and fled the scene.
The police have launched a manhunt for him.
