Sakleshpur: Children aged 5, 7 years accidentally fall into pond in estate, drown in waters
Sakleshpur: In an incident reported from Ossuru village of the taluk, two children, aged seven and five years, drowned to death on Monday morning, after accidentally falling into a pond while playing in the estate where the pond was situated.
The deceased Pranay (7) and Nishanth (5) are learned to be children of workers in the IBC Estate in Ossuru.
Eye-witnesses have said that the children were playing near the pond when they slipped and fell into the water. People nearby noticed the children having fallen into the pond and are learned to have helped them get out of the water, but could not save their lives.
The local police have visited and inspected the scene. A case has been registered and investigation is on.

Dakshina Kannada: Two girls drown while bathing near Kolyadakatta dam in Kadaba
Mangaluru: Two girl students drowned while bathing near the Kolyadakatta dam area of the Gundya river on Friday evening here in the Kadaba Taluk of the district.
The deceased have been identified as Arpita (15) and Sunita (21), both residents of Vimalagiri in Kutrupadi village.
According to reports, five girl students had visited the river along with their friends as it was a holiday. While bathing in the river, the two students reportedly entered a deeper portion of the water without realising the depth and began drowning.
Those accompanying them tried to rescue the duo, but were unsuccessful, leading to the tragedy.
After receiving information about the incident, Kadaba Police Station personnel visited the spot and conducted an inspection. The bodies were later recovered with the help of local residents.
