Bengaluru: Environmentalist Salumarada Thimmakka's adopted son Umesh on Thursday doused rumours spreading on social media regarding the death of Thimmakka, sharing a video clip as proof that she was still under treatment in the intensive care unit of the Apollo Hospital in the city.

Thimmakka had been staying with her adopted son Umesh in Belur for three months after she fell near her house in Bengaluru and injured herself. She was admitted to the government hospital in Belur on September 26, when she had developed breathing problems. On Monday night, she was shifted to the Apollo Hospital for further treatment.

On Facebook, one Nagaraj Hattur had also posted, "Salumarada Thimmakka is healthy; please do not believe rumours about her."
