Sangh Parivar activists pelt stones at mosque, houses, Urdu school in Haveri during bike rally
Haveri: Sangh Parivar activists allegedly pelted stones at a mosque, houses, and an Urdu school in Rattihalli in the district on Tuesday, while taking out a bike rally here.
The rally was organized as a part of a program to unveil a statue of Sangolli Rayanna in Rattihalli.
The unveiling ceremony was followed by the stoning of various buildings. In addition, an auto-rickshaw driver is learned to have been manhandled on the occasion.
The police officers in Rattihalli were forced to act as the air was tense, following such incidents. They succeeded in dispelling the crowd and brought the situation under control.

US–Iran first round direct talks conclude in Islamabad: Report

The first round of direct talks between the United States and Iran, held in Islamabad, has concluded, Al Jazeera reported citing sources close to the development.
According to the report, following the discussions, delegations from both sides agreed to exchange written documents, a move aimed at ensuring clarity and consensus on the understandings reached during the meeting.
Both the Iranian and US delegations arrived in Islamabad on Saturday, April 11, amid high security for the peace talks.
