Bengaluru: A tragic incident occurred near Doddakere on Bannerghatta road, where a collision between a tipper and a two-wheeler resulted in the death a senior citizen who was riding his two-wheeler here.
The deceased has been identified as Muniyappa, a 60-year-old resident of Soppahalli in Anekal taluk. As Muniyappa was riding his two-wheeler, he was struck from behind by a tipper lorry. The impact of the collision caused severe injuries to Muniyappa, who was immediately rushed to a nearby private hospital for medical treatment.
Despite the efforts of the medical team, Muniyappa's injuries proved fatal, and he was pronounced dead. A case has been registered, and the authorities have initiated further investigations into the case.

Madikeri: A fire broke out in a private bus on the streets near the Makutta Highway in South Kodagu on Monday morning, and gutted the vehicle in spite of efforts to put out the fire.
No fatality has been reported, with the bus driver and conductor having escaped in time.
The bus, which was reportedly a private bus with a Kerala registration, was near the Anjaneya Temple in Makutta when the fire broke out suddenly.
The fire brigade and the local police rushed to the place and personnel worked at dousing the flames, but the bus was completely destroyed by the time they succeeded in doing so.
The reason for the fire break-out, however, is unknown yet.
