Kochi: An 11-month-old baby boy from Kerala’s Malappuram died mid-air on a flight from Doha to Kochi in the early hours of Tuesday.

The baby, identified as Fezin Ahammed, was traveling with his mother when he suddenly fell ill mid-air on the Gulf Air flight.

The toddler was rushed to Angamaly Little Flower Hospital immediately after the flight landed in Kochi. Unfortunately, doctors declared the baby dead on arrival.

Reports suggest that the baby born prematurely had heart issues and was being transported to his home state for further treatment.

The Angamaly Police have registered a case and are conducting an autopsy. More details are awaited.
