Shafi Saadi resigns as Karnataka Wakf Board President
Bengaluru: In a recent development, N.K. Muhammad Shafi Saadi tendered his resignation as the President of the Karnataka Wakf Board on Wednesday.
According to the sources the government has accepted his resignation.
However, during the interim period, Shafi Saadi will continue to serve as the acting president until the election of a new president.

Manu Bhaker’s maternal grandmother, uncle die in road accident in Haryana
Charkhi Dadri: Olympics bronze medallist Manu Bhaker’s maternal grandmother and uncle lost their lives in a road accident on Sunday. The two were travelling on a scooty when it collided with a car. Both victims died on the spot.
According to ASI Suresh Kumar, the car overturned following the collision, and its driver fled the scene. Police reached the spot upon receiving information about the accident and have begun an investigation.
Manu Bhaker recently received the prestigious Major Dhyan Chand Khel Ratna award from President Droupadi Murmu on January 17. She made history last year by becoming the first Indian to win multiple medals in a single Olympic event post-Independence.
