Bengaluru, Jan 27: “For us, Siddaramaiah is Chief Minister. Whatever our problems are, we will share it with him”, said Backward Classes Welfare Minister Puttaranga Shetty.

Speaking at the inauguration of ‘Kanaka Community Hall’ at Jattigarahalli in the city on Sunday, the Minister said that it was because of Siddaramaiah, he had become the MLA for three times and Siddaramaiah was his chief minister.

MLA ST Somashekar said that former chief minister Siddaramaiah was their leader. He has given opportunities to all castes and communities. But some people have restricted the party and politics to son, daughter-in-laws. If Siddaramaiah was in power for another five years, the state would have developed much. Though the coalition government came to existence seven months back, no roads in the city were developed. Now, Siddaramaiah has made him BDA chairman, he said.

Eshwar Anand Puri Swamiji of Kaginele Kanaka Guru Peetha said that Siddaramaiah was the voice for the voiceless backward classes and oppressed communities. Siddaramaiah was a benefactor always. He should become the chief minister again, he said.

Former chief minister Siddaramaiah, Ministers MTB Nagaraj, CS Shivalli, former minister HM Revanna and Kuruba community leaders were present.
