Hunsur: In a horrific accident which occurred near Kalbetta here, six people from the same family have been killed after their car hit a tree nearby.

The deceased have been identified as Anil, Santosh, Vinuth, Rajesh, Dayanand and Babu, residents of Palibetta, Virajbetta.

The gruesome incident occurred when the six were returning from the wedding of a relative where the driver of the Bolero lost control and hit a tree. It has been reported that six men succumbed to death on the spot while two are critically injured.

The Hunsur police have registered a complaint in this regard. The bodies of the deceased have been shifted to Government Hospital, Hunsur for postmortem, sources said.
